First Visit to Chilham Park

Helpful information

Chilham Park advise that due to the uneven and, in parts, irregular terrain it may at times be difficult for people to move around freely and easily, as a result of which, it may not be suitable for those spectators who suffer from certain medical conditions.

Spectators are encouraged to walk the cross country course. However you are reminded that half-a-tonne of horse travelling at speed cannot swerve easily, so please keep children under control, dogs on leads and stay out of the path of the horses.

Please listen for the whistles warning of the approach of a competitor. Please obey all instructions given by officials.

What to wear?

We can’t control the English weather please make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear.

All visitors enter Chilham Park at their own risk and are advised to wear suitable footwear. High heels are not practical, particularly if you want to walk the cross country course. Please be aware that Chilham Park is undulating parkland and if there has been rain it can be muddy and slippery, particularly on the cross country course.

Chilham Park shall not incur any liability except as required by law, in respect of any injury or damage to visitors or their property howsoever caused.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome at Chilham Park but must be kept on lead at ALL TIMES.
