Qualifier for the Chilham Park Unaffiliated Championship 2010
Competitors are automaticaly entered at Chilham Park organised unaffiliated events and can gain qualifying points throughout the season.

- All competitors agree to abide by the General Terms and Conditions for Events at Chilham Park.
- The Rules are based on those found in the current British Eventing Rules and Members' Handbook. Each competitor should make themselves familiar with the specific rules for each test.
- Only one class per horse, rider may enter 2 horses. (3 horses + will only be accepted under the Organisers discretion).
Scoring
Dressage
- Each movement is awarded a possible 10 marks, these need to be added together – noting some movements carry double points.
- The percentage is obtained by dividing the total good marks of the judge by the maximum possible good marks, multiplying by 100 – rounding the result to 2 decimal places
- In order to convert percentage into PENALTY POINTS, subtract the percentage from 100 – round the resulting figure to one decimal place.
Show-Jumping
The PENALTY POINTS for show-jumping are those listed by the show-jumping judge against the competitor’s number.
Faults are awarded as follows:

Cross-Country
The PENALTY POINTS for cross-country phase are divided into jumping penalties and time penalties.

Any competitor jumping an unflagged fence or a jump not numbered within their class will be eliminated. It is the rider’s responsibility to be aware of the correct course for their class.
Time Penalties
Optimum time is based on metres-per-minute.
Class 1 tba
Class 2 tba
Class 3 tba
For every second in excess of the Optimum Time = 0.4 penalties.
Under the Optimum Time incurs no penalties until the Minimum Time is achieved.
For every commenced second under the Minimum Time = 1.0 penalty.
Chilham have set a good hunting pace for the Optimum Time. Speeds achieved under the Minimum Time are considered too fast for the terrain and are therefore penalised.
